DropBar is a 2-level fading and sliding horizontal menu which initially looks like a simple button bar (and can be used that way). Hovering over a first-level button can reveal a second level of buttons below. Items can use gradient fills, and any item can act as a link. The second-level strip expands into and out of view vertically, and buttons fade between colors.

DropBar provides full control over text and fill colors for first- and second-level buttons, and allows different fonts and alignment to be used for each level. First-level buttons can have line-break symbols included to create multi-line captions. You can also adjust the animation speed and button height, and place a background image behind the menu, among other options. DropBar can play MP3 sound effects on hover, click and release, and supports the Cool Focus Satellite system.
