StoryBoard is a vertically-scrolling news display control allowing an unlimited number of items to be displayed. Each news item can link to a separate URL, and can contain a single-line heading and a story of unlimited lines. The story can include HTML tags for bold, italic and underlined text, along with line breaks and paragraph breaks. The heading acts as a link if included; if not, the story is a link.
Separate fonts, styles and colors can be defined for headings and stories, and each item can override these default color settings to use individual colors. An optional selector highlights the entire item when focused. Headings can be given a solid background color and, if headings are blank, this will result in a thin separator-line dividing each item.
Animation speed is selectable, and scrolling can be paused on mouse hover. StoryBoard supports MP3 sound effects for click and release events, and transparency in compatible browsers. |
